Hiring Requirements
  • Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (G) Night Driving, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only
  • 18 months Tractor Trailer experience
  • Max 1 accident in the last year
  • Max 2 accidents in the last 3 years
Pay & Miles
  • $1,100 - $1,400 total weekly
  • 1,800 - 2,200 miles per week

In 1981, Dick Clark founded Steel Transportation Services, Inc. under the name "D. Clark Leasing". STS started as a one truck operation servicing three companies in Michigan. In 1994, D. Clark Leasing became "Steel Transportation Services, Inc." Throughout the years STS has evolved into a truck operation servicing numerous businesses throughout 48 states. In 2001 STS moved the operation to Branch road in Flint, MI. Today STS provides several methods of Transportation to meet the growing needs of the automotive industry. The fleet consists of flat-bed trailers, including multi-axles (4, 6, and 8), step decks, 45 to 53 foot air ride dry vans, and expedited trucks. STS has an ample amount of experience with the "Just-in-Time" methodology that General Motors subscribes to.
